We were away for the last eight days on our first real family vacation. We put about 3,000 miles on our car, and a big dent in our pocketbook. It was incredibly fun, but I am so very glad to be back home!
We had some wonderful neighbors come over to collect the chickens eggs while we were gone, but we still collected about 20 eggs from super secret chicken hiding places when we got back. I’m going to make some potato salad today, and then we are going to have to have lots of scrambled eggs for breakfast!
The carrots finally pushed their little orange shoulders out of the ground, though I keep having to remind the girls that they still having growing to do before they’re ready to eat. It’s hard when carrots are just so good!
